Nadia Nervo is a London based artist, graduated from the RCA (2003). Her practice incorporates photography, video and performance. Nadia investigates the relationship between photographer and subject, often working with strangers and exploring the nature of connections being made. Intimacy and trust between artist and sitter are key elements in her practice and fundamental to the viewer’s relationship to her portraits.

 

The female figure features prominently in many of Nadia’s photographs. In this series she invites strangers to sit naked. "Throughout history nudes have been predominantly portrayed by male. My aim is  to artistically explore and embrace intimacy between women, between artist and subject, that is fearless and empowering".
